What is Joint Custody?

If you have a child and are in the middle of a divorce, you may need to decide whether or not you will ask for joint custody. Joint custody, which is known as time-sharing in the Florida Statutes, dictates who will have responsibility for taking care of your child, as well as when and what that role entails.

Alimony reform bill resurrected in Florida Senate

Although Florida State legislators allowed a recent alimony reform bill to expire this April, changes to the law may still be coming. The Florida Senate website shows that a sponsoring senator recently filed a new bill, Senate Bill 250, which aims to make many of the same reforms to alimony law as the previous bill
