Court House Proceedings and Domestic Relations Hearings During the Covid-19 Crisis
The Courthouses are open but only for essential or emergency hearings. Domestic violence injunction return hearings are being held.
Other domestic relations hearings are being held, and in some cases, even evidentiary hearings are going forward. These are being held by video conference and the requirements to get information and documents to the judge in a timely manner are extremely important. Each judge has his or her own set of procedures to ensure that the needs of families are addressed fairly during this time.
