Compassionate Central Florida Divorce and Probate Attorney
Client-Centered ▪ Family-Centered ▪ Thorough
At the law office of Mercedes R. Wechsler, P.A., we pride ourselves on providing our clients personalized service in a comfortable and supportive environment. Attorney Wechsler has over a decade of experience helping people cope with the legal issues of divorce, from custody to visitation, including father’s rights, alimony and the division of assets. We also handle probate matters.
We’re available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We’re committed to returning all client calls promptly, usually within 24 hours. We monitor our phones and voicemail at all times, so that we can address emergencies as they arise.
Our approach is pragmatic, direct and reasonable
We enjoy notable success negotiating positive results for our clients within an atmosphere of fairness and balance. Our experience is that aggressive advocacy on behalf of our clients, tempered by pragmatism and forthright communication, results in agreements that are workable and that fairly represent the reasonable expectations of all the parties. We’re dedicated to defusing emotionally-charged situations to the greatest extent possible.
When we do go to trial
Sometimes, despite all good intentions, the best option for our clients requires going to court. We prepare every matter as though it were going to end up in court. That way, we preserve all our options.
If we do end up in court, we take the time to thoroughly prepare you and explain the entire process, to minimize any anxiety or uncertainty you might feel. You will be thoroughly briefed before every mediation, hearing, deposition or trial, so that you’ll know what to expect and what alternatives are available at any given time.
Schedule a time to talk
Our initial consultations are usually at least an hour and a half long. During that time, we get to know you, the circumstances of your legal matter and can consider the approach that best suits your individual circumstances. The consultation fee is applied toward any retainer fee if you retain our firm to represent you. For your convenience, we accept payment by MasterCard or Visa.
